Meet Des

Des is an experienced master stylist who has been immersed in the hair industry for nearly a decade. With hairstyling running in her blood and having grown up in her mom’s hair salon, she was able to learn the ins and outs of the business from an early age. Inspired by her mom’s success, she followed in her footsteps and began her own journey which included graduating from one of Ontario’s top hair schools - The Aveda Institute, where she honed her skills and discovered more about her love and passion for the industry. After some time of working in the fast-paced city scene, Des felt a pull to return to her roots. She craved a more personal experience and wanted to live and work in a community where she could truly connect with her clients. For her, there’s nothing better than that small-town vibe.

Now Des is thrilled to be a part of the creative haven that Studio Thirty Eight is—where she can continue to service  clients and welcome new faces Into her chair. Known for her colour expertise, she specializes in blondes and loves playing with a variety of balayage and colour techniques involving the latest hair trends. She is constantly honing her craft, always staying inspired and up-to-date through ongoing education and social media.

Dana is a seasoned hairstylist with 11 years of experience, specializing in crafting stunning blonde looks. From subtle, natural highlights to bold, platinum shades, she's honed her skills to deliver exceptional results. With expertise in balayage techniques, she creates seamless, multi-dimensional color transitions that add depth and dimension to every look. A native of the Kawartha Lakes area, Dana recently returned home after living and working in Peterborough for 8 years. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for staying on top of the latest trends, she helps clients achieve their dream hair. Whether you're looking for a dramatic transformation or a subtle touch-up, she's dedicated to providing personalized service and making every client feel confident and beautiful.
